Advertising
We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Web site. These companies may use aggregated information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Use of Cookies
NYaltnews employs cookies — small text files placed on your computer’s hard drive — to track your login settings for your convenience. Registration, newsletters, and comment areas
Readers may register for NYaltnews if they wish to do so. Some registered users may be given author, contributor, or editor status and limited background access to the site if desired. Beyond that, registration provides one benefit, infrequent updates about the website by its publishers. Registered users may opt out of their registration at any time.
We use Google Feedburner to provide daily email news updates to visitors, registered or not, who wish to receive them. In order to distribute our email, we collect subscribers’ email addresses and provide them to Google. The newsletter, its advertising, and its mailing list is stored on Google’s servers. The email contains information from our RSS Feed, managed by Google. Neither Google or NYaltnews will share addresses with other companies or partners. Users can unsubscribe from email newsletters at any time.
Our comment area are run through Facebook. Only registered Facebook, Yahoo, or AOL members who are signed into those systems can access the comments section at the bottom of any post. These messages are handled by Facebook and reside on their networks. We do not monitor the comments sections, nor do we have control over them. Please remember any information disclosed in these areas becomes publicly available, and therefore you should exercise caution when disclosing personal information. We chose to use Facebook for commenting because we firmly believe that if someone has strong convictions, they should put their name behind them, and Facebook does not provide easy access for anonymous posters who may be disruptive to the discussion.
Surveys
From time to time NYaltnews will conduct voluntary surveys of site visitors to obtain aggregate demographic information about them. This information may be compiled and shared in the aggregate with third parties, but no personal details will be traceable or associated with specific individuals.
